How to solve the timing belt noise
The timing belt has a certain service life, generally between 6 and 100,000 km. The timing belt is the transmission belt of the crankshaft driving camshaft, and is also the source of the opening and closing of the valve. If the timing belt falls off or breaks, the comparison will result in comparison. Serious consequences, so it is especially important to check, adjust or replace the timing belt regularly.
If you find that the timing belt has abnormal noise, first confirm whether it is the abnormal sound caused by the belt itself or the timing belt tensioning wheel, and the noise of the idler wheel is damaged. Open the cover on the outside of the timing belt, expose the timing belt, and pour some water on it. If the sound disappears or decreases a lot, you can confirm that the timing belt is ringing. Observe the front and back of the timing belt to see if there is any smallness. Crack, if the number of kilometers used is more than 60,000 km and there is a crack, replace the timing belt directly. If the number of kilometers is small and the belt does not crack, adjust the belt tensioner to tighten the belt. If the sound of water on the belt is still the same, it is not a big belt. At this time, the cover outside the belt should be removed, and the stethoscope should be used to check whether the belt tensioner or idler is ringing, because these wheels are bearing and are relatively easy to damage and emit noise. Replace the problematic wheel.
